today...

The weather outside beckoned me; the warm sunshine blanketed the grass as the morning dew (and frost I might add) evaporated into the early morning hours. I sat at the bay window as the sun rose in blended pinks, reds, and oranges. Blue-jays and red-winged black birds fought over the seed in the feeder and the breeze ruffled the pages of my book in hand. Today would be a great day - I just knew it.

And it was. It was a wonderful day - a day filled with baking, visiting, cleaning, gardening, running, resting, and reading. What could be better than that?

And who could resist bragging on the spoils of their day...=) not I. I am now rich - rich in baked-goods, that is. total for the day? Three pies (strawberry-rhubarb, blackberry, and raspberry), two loaves of bread (oatmeal-wheat-raisin), and one astounding shortcake (with fresh strawberries and home-made whipped cream).

Too much fun for one person alone.

Have I ever mentioned that pie is one of my favorites? :)

Or that you're one of my favorite people??? You amaze me, Renee, with how much you are able to accomplish when you put your heart into things!
