games

Hundreds of them. Blinking and sparkling amidst the ferns and foliage. On. Off. On again. Off again. One is fascinating, yes. You can chase it, try to catch it, or merely enjoy watching it. Hundreds though, are beyond fascinating; they are mesmerizing. Weaving in and around trees, through tall grass, and over stumps and logs. Playing tag, hide-and-seek, and camouflage. These little critters made me smile last night. It was dusk, the woods were full of them, and on my walk home I was compelled to enjoy their little games.

Lightning bugs. Isn’t God’s creation wonderful?
