feathery friend

I made a friend the other day - the feathery, flying type. We spent a bit of quality time together - him checking me out, me photographing him - our mutual interests lined up nicely.

What began as an intended "take-a-few-shots-eat-lunch-and-relax" time, quickly turned into "me-sitting-mesmerized" for the next fifty minutes. I love the beauty God created and I find it fascinating to observe "wild" creatures in all their majesty. Maybe I am amused by small things; even so, I cherish the fact that I can sit for an hour and watch a bird flit about me. I enjoy the quiet peace, the whispering wind, and the gentle calm.

I enjoyed my time with this new friend and was sad to leave his haven.
