He insisted on joining me for a leisurely kayak. I asked him kindly to sit elsewhere but he had other plans. He threw off my groove. Actually, he added to it. I love floating with the current and silently observing nature. God made so many intricate and amazing creatures. I am occasionally graced by a deer stopped for a cool evening refreshment, or a blue heron in flight above the tree tops, or a fish startled by bright orange paddles invading its home.
Tonight I was serenaded by this dancing dragonfly. He and his partner put on a private showing fit for a king (or in this case, a queen). It was wonderful.
