wandering

As of late, my minds seems to be altogether too full, yet elusively empty when challenged to put pen to paper (or in this case, fingers to keyboard).

I have been the proverbial nomad this last month or so - in residency, occupation, and plans. My abode has been everything from an airport floor to my grandmother's guest room to my dear family's guest bed. Rumor has it that my dwelling place may soon wander upstairs to a more settled location, but then again, it may not =)

Throughout the few weeks I've been home, I've been a regular jack-of-all-trades. My plethora of jobs has included, but was not limited to: planting gardens, baking breads and pies, mowing lawns, setting floor joists, shampooing carpets, washing and drying laundry, cleaning houses, scrubbing floors, roofing, sewing pillows, playing chauffeur . . . some paid, some volunteer, all rewarding.

Plans about this next stage of life have also been a topic of discussion. Options abound and settling on one seems almost impossible, not to mention, limiting. I want to travel overseas, teach English to non-native speakers, visit friends with new babies, enroll in a TESOL course, serve friends and family, learn a language, play (or better yet, be the proud owner of) a silver horn, and in general, live life to the fullest. That's not too much to ask is it?
