breakfast

We were talking tonight - making pancakes and talking. I reached inside the refrigerator to grab cottage cheese to accompany my pancakes - normal I thought. Apparently not. The conversation abruptly stopped when I my friends found out my family regularly eats French toast, waffles, pancakes, etc. topped with cottage cheese. I always thought cottage cheese was a breakfast food - same as fish. Guess I was wrong =)

I'm curious now - does anyone else eat cottage cheese and/or fish for breakfast? Or am I in this boat alone? =)

Uhhh... negative.

But it could just be that I dislike cottage cheese in general. I don't eat it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or any time in-between.

But don't let Abby think you're THAT strange. Her family puts salt on their french toast, or peanut butter, etc. As far as I know, most restaurants still serve pancakes and french toast with syrup; and I'm pretty sure they do that because it's the norm!

Cottage cheese is considered a always protein on the twinnie plan. I sometimes eat cottage cheese in the morning to get my protein. I also have it on whole wheat toast or pancakes.
