Not to become weary in pursuing God...
Ah, yes - this is the challenge. I think too often we pursue the Lord and all the blessings he has for us. This is not a bad thing - in fact, he commands us to do so. The fault comes in when that is all we do. We are not to merely pursue the good things of the Lord - we are to worship him and revere him. We are to pursue God - plain and simple. Not pursue the things of God; not pursue the desires we have in light of God - no. We are to pursue God. To pursue him. To pursue a noun - not an abstract concept.
This can seen like a wearisome task - pursuing something that seems just out of literal grasp. It is not tangible; it is not concrete. And that is why we become weary. That is why I become weary. Because I cannot see or feel the responses and answers. It's not that they aren't there - it's that I am too clouded over with other things to see them. But he is there. He is always there. And that is the truth.
So I am renewing my faith and pursuing God. Not pursuing the things of God; not pursuing the words of God; not pursuing the blessings of God. Merely pursuing God. Plain and simple.
