"Humiliation" - the title of a game we learned how to play in my Classical Heritage class. A competition where participants try to "prove who is the biggest loser" as a classmate described. The object? Try to one-up fellow participants by having never read something...perhaps Romeo and Juliet, something everyone has read. The winner is in essence the biggest loser. Although it sounds lame, and is a great waste of time (personally, I think the players could benefit from reading the texts that allow them to win this game), it can be quite entertaining. The student who won had never read Tom Sawyer.
Now here is a game I can win in almost any context - excluding farming =) I know, sad huh =) But I like learning and why not learn life lessons along with academic work. A two-for-one deal.
I challenge you to a game of “humiliation.” =)
