pride

Shatter our pride Lord. Strip it away and bring us to our knees. Shake our world and cause us to become dependant solely upon you. Peel away the layers of deafening silence; gently remove the coating of comforting pain. Wrap us again in your gentle love and your tender mercy. Humble us Lord. And do it in whatever way you see fit for we are willing vessels in your hands.

It never ceases to amaze me how pride and arrogance can be so subtle. Untill someone {figuritively} holds a mirror in front of you and says "can't you see it?" and you reply "All I see is a lovely reflection.

Lord may I decrease and you increase so the "lovely reflection" I see, is yours.
