What are words? Are they random thoughts on a page, or are they planned attempts to make a statement? Both. At times they can be an encouragement, a life saver. Yet at times, they can kill and destroy. They can be spoken or implied, simple or complex. Words can take us far away places or they can bind us to where we are. They can impress or depress, breathe freedom or create bondage.
Lord, I want to use the gift of words to encourage others. I want my words to flow freely; I want them to speak truth in love, and I want them to show compassion and empathy. I want my words to bless you Lord; I want them to be an honest and sincere route of communication between us. I want to use words to explain my deepest feelings - to open the wells within me. I want to use the gift of words to reach out and touch a hurting soul ...
Yet it is not my will, but yours Lord, that I seek. Take my words and use them as you see fit.
